CUIJCA Cross Mark Policy

Research is no longer a static endeavor; it has evolved into a dynamic process, continually expanding the knowledge base. Existing knowledge undergoes updates, modifications, or replacements, making research an ongoing activity. Completion of research extends beyond publication; it requires validation and acceptance by the broader research community in the field.

The current literature is subject to scrutiny. Upon publication, research documents undergo thorough examination by authors, reviewers, and editors. Global readers, representing the research community, critically evaluate various aspects including design, population, sampling, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

With open access, research findings are readily accessible to readers. Authors, editors, and publishers bear the responsibility of ensuring not only the validity and reliability of content but also its verifiability, replicability, and reproducibility.

Crossmark, a multi-publisher initiative from Crossref, offers readers a standard means to locate the latest version of published content. By displaying the Crossmark logo, City University International Journal of Computational Analysis (CUIJCA) pledges to maintain published content and notify readers of any changes. Clicking on the Crossmark logo provides information on the current status of the document, including any updates.

Every piece of content published in CUIJCA will feature a Crossmark. Minor changes, such as spelling corrections or formatting adjustments, will maintain the current status. However, editorially significant changes that may impact the interpretation or credibility of the work will prompt an update. Crossmark recognizes 12 types of accepted updates, including addendum, correction, corrigendum, erratum, and retraction.

Any updates to content will be published as regular documents in upcoming issues, complete with pagination and DOI, with links to the original work. Readers are encouraged to submit their comments on published works as "Editorial Correspondence." These comments will be shared with authors for response, and both comments and responses will be published in subsequent issues. In cases where authors are unable to provide adequate explanations, the editorial board will determine the fate of the document.

Additionally, readers can submit comments online via the "ADD COMMENT" option for each published work. Authors may respond online, by post, or via email. These comments are archived and accessible to all readers without requiring registration.
