Correction Policy
In cases where a manuscript has a minor flaw that does not significantly impact its findings, the editor may choose to issue a correction rather than a retraction, for the benefit of the scientific community. Depending on the source of the mistake, either an ERRATUM or CORRIGENDUM will be issued.
- An ERRATUM is issued if the mistake originated from the production process handled by the publisher.
- A CORRIGENDUM is issued if the mistake is due to an author's miscalculation or oversight.
